these precious times

19 August 2013

Precious family time on my auntie & uncle’s farm for my Grandpa’s 89th birthday.

I had a new and very scary incident with my eyes a couple of weeks ago so I am spending less time on the computer to let them rest. And feeling grateful that while my vision continues to worsen & I may take less photos, I still feel my imagery improves. Grateful for every ounce – I have nearly finished my cook book challenge, am walking many miles & smelling the blooming jasmine and mock orange, planning trips, excitedly helping events come into fruition, celebrating birthdays and enjoying lots of quality time with loved ones. My friends, I hope you are well?

So sorry to hear about the incident with your eyes and hope they will improve with resting them. Congratulations of nearly finishing your cookery challenge 3 months early too!
Congratulations to your Grandpa on his birthday. Our posts seem to both celebrate the things that matter most.
Take care dear friend. Sarah x

I’m so sorry you’re having eye trouble, but so inspired by your positivity and your focus on what you can do – walking, smelling scents and celebrating AND still taking very beautiful photographs (I especially love that one of the tree).

Oh, Lucent, I am so sorry to hear of this event and glad to hear you are resting your eyes. It is wonderful how you make the most of each day, give yourself the pleasures of being outside, and delight in celebrations with family and friends. Take care.

Your posts have been greatly missed Lucent – but now we know why and understand your need to keep computer use to a minimum. I hope the incident is a one -off and that the rest has had a good effect.
How wonderful that your Grandpa has reached his 89th birthday and that the family gathered to celebrate.
Your photos confirm that your imagery is as lucent as ever, if not more so. The image of the horse is extraordinary!

Very nice pictures indeed. I really like your philosophy to enjoy whatever good times are coming to you, and drawing energy from these good times to help with the darker ones. A very refreshing read :)

I was hoping to hear from you, but figured you might have been busy spending time with family and friends. What I was not hoping to hear was more bad news about your eyes. Still, glad to know you’re still the optimist as always!

You are always so positive and I think that’s why you have so many good things in your life. Glad to hear you’re enjoying them despite the trouble with your eyes.
