autumn acquisitions

28 March 2013

Filling some gaps in my wardrobe. I’ve never bought a winter jacket in February before, such was my enthusiasm for cooler weather! Two button-up shirts from Country Road. A leather handbag to replace my old one. I love cool-weather dressing much more than summer attire agonies!

Do you have COS? I’ve just bought some pieces from there – minimalist and cool! Love your colours…’health to wear them’ as we say here…

Love your Country Road pieces! I still have a lot of Country Road pieces that are possibly older than you :) . They are very simple and classic so haven’t really dated.
The idea of a uniform is one I feel drawn to as I always enjoyed my schooldays when I didn’t have to think about what I was going to wear during the week! This made the weekends a time when I could really focus and enjoy clothing decisions.
Summer dressing is never truly successful in Australia because it’s all about being cool and sun-protected at the same time – not easy. In the northern hemisphere summers it is possible to still wear a light jacket or cardigan a lot of the time and I’m a jacket kind of person!

I’m so glad you posted this, I’ve been looking for button up shirts like that for a while now. I was in Dotti the other day, which isn’t my favourite but they had shirts like that, and they fit TERRIBLY (too loose in the body, too tight/gaping in the boobs). I’m definitely checking CR out when I hit the shopping centre next week :)

Love all the Autumn-y colours! I’m looking forward to wearing v-neck jumpers soon, they’re my favourite!

button up shirts are hands-down my favourite things… so versatile, dress up and/or down and accessorize. I live in them in my downtime :)
