  • A fun group coffee outing the morning after the christmas party.
  • A double date where my dear girlfriend and I watched our men hit it off too. Yay!
  • An afternoon date with cheese and we met via blogging friends.
  • Interstate flights in between these cafe dates. I love travelling and being around airports.
  • Playing tour guide to visiting family – a salted caramel shake & an iced tea in one sitting!

Not pictured:

  • Breakfasts and dinners out with my husband. I get giddy happy on our dates, he’s just my favourite man and best friend.
  • Visiting a friend’s bakery. He made the dream come true and we couldn’t be happier for him. I broke the gluten-free plan for some of his divine french baguette with delicious butter. Yum.
  • A time-just-got-away-as-we-kept-talking morning date with a woman who walks her dog in the same places as us, with the same breed dog. Double the canine cuteness and a new friendship.
  • Holding my friend’s hand on a breakfast date when tears came to the surface as she shared her challenges. That she knew she could trust me with her emotions was an honour, and knowing I helped her that day made me happy.
  • My husband took my mum and I for a spontaneous lunch date which reminded him of the very first time he met my mum and took us to lunch all those years ago.
  • A family outing to a great place to celebrate my mum’s birthday – where I took beautiful photos of loved ones in the blue hour surrounded by healthy, colourful food and fairy lights.

What are your summer/winter cafe moments to treasure so far?

Rogano’s – an original art deco restaurant/cafe in Glasgow. I went there to write the words The End on my novel (only the first draft – lots of work to do still….) but I had written 50,000 words and I had no idea I could do that. I was so amazed and excited! (Still am!)

Such charming photos and lovely to hear about all the happy and meaningful cafe moments in your life during this summer. We love going to cafes and meeting up with friends or sharing family birthdays too. Our daughter’s birthday was a couple of weeks ago, my husband in a week, mine three weeks after and our son three weeks after that so lots of summer celebrations in cafes for us!
