urban greenery *copenhagen*

4 December 2012

Based on our impressions from our stay last year, I can imagine us living in Copenhagen. My husband and I both rate this city in our top 3 places we genuinely miss and ache to return to. This is an intelligent city that embraces inspiring urban design, biking and pedestrianism over cars, fashionable people on cute bikes, brilliant architecture, beautiful waterways, awesome neighbourhoods, colourful cafes with blankets supplied for cold weather, one of my husband’s favourite breweries, dog friendly life, street art and my beloved urban greenery.

I haven’t been to Copenhagen! Which are the other top 3 countries you would live in?

What a lovely description of Copenhagen which comes a close second to Stockholm for me. I feel I could live there.

Cpoenhagen is on my list of places to go. I spent many happy holidays in Denmark as a child and it is a lovely country but we never got a far as Copenhagen (there was no bridge connecting it to Funen then.) Where are your other 2 top places?

i’ve only ever done an airport transfer there lol

i think it’s the sort of place i would have a mischievous desire to mess up. like tousling the hair of a business man. i’m not sure i could be trusted…. ;)

I haven’t had the privilege to visit Copenhagen but it’s definitely one of the places we aim to visit while we’re living here in the UK. Having to go only during long school term breaks really puts a damper on spontaneity :(

I still haven’t been there – but I plan to go one day because it really looks stunning!

Very lovely photos of a lovely place. I absolutely love Copenhagen, too! I’ve been several times and always find it a delight. Not to mention the incredible bakeries on every block. I’m quite sure I’ll never live there, though. :) The winters are brutal.

Haven’t visited either, but I so love danish design that I’m sure I would love the experience. We have a friend who goes regularly to find and import mid-century modern design furniture that his company refinishes and sells. It’s a joy just to visit his showroom.

Beautiful place, seems very quiet and urban friendly, ideal to go to write a book, compose music or have a coffee with a loved one. I will propose to my girlfriend to go there on one of our trips -we are aiming to South Africa in march- but maybe in the 2014 vacations could be Europe! Thanks for sharing this especial city with us.
