columbia rd flower market *london*
It’s not surprising this market is popular. The flowers are beautiful, the vendors are yelling out their specials, the architecture is quaint, live musicians tap their toes, and nearby cafes invite you to stay longer. We walked to these markets from my friend’s place and enjoyed it immensely. I imagined picking up flowers and a warm drink each week if I lived there.
Let it be known that my husband is awesome. In scenes like this where it’s busy and bags and pot plants and dogs abound, he is such an amazing guide. He steers me through the people and obstacles and the unpredictable environment as best he can. If I stop to take a photo he makes sure I’m not causing chaos around me or about to knock something. He is also skilled at grabbing me when my enthusiasm takes over and I’m headed straight for a pole or other such hard object that is guaranteed to win in the collision. I am forever grateful that his support and patience enables me to explore and capture the beauty that I do see through my eyes and my camera.

I’d love to visit this flower market! I’d also love to see the Olympic Meadows in London just now…..
My sister occasionally goes here on a Sunday, it must be wonderful to have it on your doorstep!
How wonderful your husband knows you so well and can get you out of trouble! It’s so easy to get enthusiastic while taking photos! My family are get frustrated waiting for me while I am photographing things!
