our last dinner in *paris*
Our final dinners in a city have come to be very precious to me. We sit and reflect on our time there, enjoy good food and just revel in the greatness of exploration together. I like to be seated as the golden glow of sunset illuminates the now somewhat familiar city around us. We speak of cultural pleasures, observations, dreams realised and new dreams sought. We make commitments to return again if we have fallen in love with the city. Paris will indeed beckon us to visit again. After an afternoon walking through Sacré-Cœur and Montmartre, we headed back towards the River Seine and came across Comptoir de la Gastronomie. This splendid meal was not the last in Paris but rather a marker of time until we return again.
See our first meal in Paris too. Many more photos from in between these meals to come!

I love your description of your last evenings in a city. I think Paris is wonderful too! Your always seem to find amazing places to eat.
I find it difficult to get the angle right when photographing food, your photographs are fantastic.
