australian books

15 March 2012

I’ve spotted some really interesting Australian books lately that have tempted me. While I am a minimalist who prefers to read e-books, I still like to own cookbooks in hardcopy. I love sitting down with a drink and notepad to plan our menu. On my wish list right now is the perfect, modern juicing recipe book. Do you have any recommendations? What books are tempting you?

I’m really loving cookbooks at the moment and recently purchased a second hand copy of Apples for Jam – I’m enjoying the honesty of the recipes. Simple and good family recipes. I also managed to get hold of a copy of Allegra Hicks ‘An eye for design’. I haven’t finished it but love the pictures.

I really appreciate your advice on blogging btw. You are spot on and I just think I needed someone to tell me. My new goal is to just go with the flow and enjoy what I’m doing without forcing it too much! Although I wish i’d remember to take my camera out of my bag more often.

Love learning about the kinds of books you are currently interested in. And that you use an e-reader. I haven’t gotten one yet but am considering it, especially for the ease of obtaining a book I want to read. Yet, there’s something (at least for my generation) about holding a book that makes me hesitant, though I certainly read a lot online. C’est la vie!

Oh these titles all look pretty, pretty. As you know, I’m a fan of hardcopy non-fiction titles too … I just don’t think I’d enjoy them as much in e-book form. I like the tactile experience they offer.

I haven’t got any book wishlist items at the moment … though I’m sure that will change in an instant. :)
