overactive mind

Lately my mind has been overactive on issues of self-esteem, blogging, small business, creating, fears, changes, babies, my eyes, great friends, average friends, family members getting old and health. It reminds me of the times as a teenager when I’d go to sleep with my arm hanging over the bed scribbling notes in a journal or laying there staring at the glow-in-the-dark stickers on my ceiling as I pondered life. I am pretty happy with my physical pursuits of minimalism at the moment. I’m turning my attention to the mental and emotional side of decluttering. Slowly the mumble jumble is sorting itself into little concepts or actions to be dealt with. I’m working on sweeping away all that clutter in my mind.

I’ve been finding a peaceful place in my mind more often lately, even though life seems to swirl all around me with a lot of noise and chaos. Somehow the circus puts things in perspective; to find joy in small, peaceful moments, or to enjoy the meaningfulness in the drudgery or absurdities of day-to-day life. Traveling to Africa taught me to let go of the fears that clutter my inner self and to slow down. A very relatable post. :)

Hmm. I’m working on a little mind-declutter right now myself. Good luck to you.

Don’t I know it. I’ve so been there, myself. Could use some clutter-sweeping now!

De-cluttering definitely alters our perspective. It is a good thing. There is so much we have to deal with in life that sometimes we don’t deal with everything as we should. I often think I have little non-decluttered items lurking around in the corners of my mind causing mischief. It is good to clear those corners out from time to time….

I’ve been feeling the same way!

I hear you on the overactive mind front – a few similar thoughts haunting me of late too. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to declutter and minimalise on several fronts!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I am on a constant search of “PEACE” of mind. I’m pretty good at decluttering my home, and life, but decluttering my mind is a constant struggle! I am a natural born worrier and wish I could get those little worrying voices out of my head! Reading uplifting books helps me. As a matter of fact, I need to start one today! Hope you are having a fabulous week! ( :

I’m hoping to achieve some sort of mental de-cluttering. I feel like my mind is full of so much useless worries and stress. I’ve been told yoga is really good for clearing the mind, so I might try that. Some people swear by long sessions of stretching and deep breathing, so I might try that too! :)
