at home lately

Flowers from a friend’s garden. Just because she wanted to. So sweet.

Campos coffee and The Big Issue from a walk down the street.
A scrumptious potato salad. I boiled the potatoes with skins on in salted water, drained, roughly broke them apart with a fork, then drizzled olive oil and red wine vinegar over whilst warm. I added baby roma truss tomatoes, fetta cheese, red kidney beans and avocado. So yummy!

Rain. I think every Australian city has had rain this summer. Apparently only one town in our nation remains in drought.

Walks in the rain mean blow dries for my dog when we get home! Oh yes. I have mentioned that he’s rather a princess haven’t I?

This zucchini lasagne is so delicious. It’s stockpiled in the freezer.

The zucchini lasagne was a slightly adjusted recipe from Donna Hay. I’ve been hanging out with Neil Perry too.

Those all look lovely and comfortable (except maybe blow-drying the dog). I was so happy to find a new post of yours today, I thought I’d comment and say hi.
WoW girl! I adore these photographs they are lovely and cozy. The zucchini lasagne looks delicious I have to try.
Today is Valentine’s Day in US … I don’t know if you guys celebrate over there. Anyway Happy Valentine’s Day dear!

The lasagne and the salad looks amazing! I laughed out loud when I read about the blowdrying the dog. I feel like I’ve been cleaning up muddy paws for months!
Beautiful photos! I especially love the salad, bit off-center, it looks so fresh and yummy….and the rainy photo is awesome!
You can make anything look artistic and stylish – even a hairdryer. I don’t know how you do it. The colour of the flowers in the first photo reminds me of a suit my Aunt used to wear in the ’60s. It was very Jackie O and quite chic. What a stunning shade of blue!
I love Neil Perry and Donna Hay – I found a great second hand bookstore just around the cnr from us and have been buying up cheap copies of Donna Hay since we got here – think i’ll have quite a collection by the time we go home.
The salad is inspirational – since the juice cleanse I’m craving fresh and “raw” foods and had run out of inspiration until now.

I always love your pictures, and you come up with the BEST salads! When we get to share a meal together someday, you are in charge of the salad! ( : I’ve already tried the one with the white beans. It was delish! I have to blow dry Jake too! I heard it you don’t, they can get “hot spots.” Don’t want to risk it! That flower from your neighbor is beautiful. It’s so nice when you have a great neighbor isn’t it???? It’s like having family right next door. Have a wonderful rest of the week!
You know, I always wondered what happens when people walk their dogs in the rain – thanks for sharing that! I love your everyday photos.
That salad and those flowers! Divine!
