dabbling in some craft
I… the legally blind woman… made this! I tackled three craft stores in search of small, sticky, specific stuff in order to bring my vision to life. It’s ok. Laugh at the puns, I do. At one point I was so totally exhausted with sore eyes and stood fighting back tears until a helpful assistant found what I was looking for (ahem… it was right at my feet).
I made rain drops by sticking crystal beady thingys onto thin nylon thread. I know, I didn’t make it easy for myself, did I?! I shared some laughter with my husband as I slowly and carefully cut out cardboard babies. “Darling, I’m making babies. 20 of them!”. Once covered in words of love and wisdom those babies were placed in the little garden, crawling among the grass and ducks and butterflies. My baby shower weather forecast turned out to be somewhat true, although not a party spoiler. I think those ducks were very happy cause they had rain to splash about in. And juicy juicy green grass*.
*Hands up if you know which song I’m referring to!

This looks great. I do not have the patience for any form of craft and sewing so admire anyone that gets creative and DIY (and especially from someone that is legally blind!!!). Puts me to shame. My saving grace is that I love to cook.

I didn’t know the song but I cheated and googled it. Man, is it stuck in my head now
Love it! I wish I was more crafty but I’m not sure I have the patience!
So freaking cute! I’m proud of you for making this, I can understand it would have been a challenge.
