yoga & friends
Thanks to two lovely ladies, I have come across a different studio and taken up yoga again. The turtles made me do it! My class is the perfect blend of physical challenge, getting in touch with our bodies, embarking on a positive affirmation and relaxation. Our teacher is so warm and inspirational and it is a true testament to her spirit that she has created the most amazing community of people. The other day was a “so so” day in that my eyes were worse and I was not feeling great in my body. What kept me from skipping the class was knowing the women I would get to catch up with. Afterwards a gorgeous new yoga friend and I went for a freshly squeezed vegetable juice. (Don’t assume we’re angelic all the time, she was on a caffeine break so we had to stay away from the coffee shop!) We were both fighting a little flatness and we sat and talked about big issues. There was such beauty and privilege in sharing our fears, challenges and preconceived ideas. Isn’t it wonderful when someone invests the time to get to know you beneath the surface? I treasure that and am filled with gratitude for the new women in my life and the yoga practice that links us all.
Have you started any inspiring new classes?

I have been doing yoga for about ten years now and I credit it with keeping me flexible in my old age (haha) but also with helping me deal with depression. It is extremely beneficial in that regard.
The blues in your photos are stunning. A little slice of heaven!
Okay, you’ve inspired me! I MUST take yoga. I was taking yoga all last year, and stopped when I got too busy at work. I just felt soooooo good when I was doing it. It IS hard work, but the way it made me feel was worth it! Starting today. ( :
What a beautiful post and I echo all you say about that yoga family. I am so so happy to meet you and really looking forward to getting to know you. Ali x
I’ve always wanted to try yoga or even pilates. Everyone raves about it!
