an impromptu speech *norway*

14 September 2011

On a stroll along the waterfront in Oslo my husband noticed some people with working dogs. We moved closer and found out they were Guide Dogs in training. After introducing ourselves the instructor asked if I would speak to the volunteers about my life as a legally blind person. Now that is an awesomely unique travel experience! Afterwards they thanked me and we all got together for a group photo. Which is quite a feat with young pups who aren’t paparazzi ready yet. Here’s a couple of the cute leaders-in-the-making.

I just LOVE those dogs! In my opinion they are so much more evolved then we are. Just amazing! What a COOL experience. You were certainly at the right place at the right time!

Good on you for speaking to the trainers. Those dogs are so cute. I, of course, am partial to the Labs. Great dogs!
