fruit & vegie confessions
I picked up these vibrant coloured pieces at an inner city fresh food market on my way home from walking with my husband to his work.
Confession 1: I put this cloth on the floor so that I could stand over the food to shoot. Just off screen to the right is my dog’s day bed. His nose was literally inches away from those strawberries. He lay there looking at the food longingly and then gave up when he realised it wasn’t for him. I was very impressed that as I walked away to the kitchen he still didn’t make a move on the food. Mean aren’t I? I did give him a carrot afterwards for being such a good boy in resisting temptation. I ate one with him. Together we crunch crunched in the living room.
Confession 2: As a teenager I used to munch on raw broccoli. My friends thought it was gross. I have a cousin who eats the skin of kiwi fruit. I once met a man who crunched through every single pip of a mandarin. We have a friend who refuses to eat anything green.
Do you have any fruit and vegie confessions? Do share, no judgement here.

…would that friend’s initials be MP? LOL
Fruit and veg has never looked so good. Fantastic photos!
I went to the city ones yesterday and walked away with some wonderful finds!
My f&v confessions are:
- I used to eat raw potato :/
- I can’t stand pear. It makes me want to be sick.
- I eat broccoli every day. Twice a day most days.
- Tomatoes are my favourite food. Bar none (not even pizza!).
- I didn’t know what a mango was until I moved to Qld (they were too expensive in Perth)
- I had only tasted avocado once before I moved to Qld (again, super expensive in Perth)
I have many more food quirks, but I’ll leave that for another day
