*monterey bay* summer 2010

19 July 2011

One of the things that amazed us in our exploration of Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos and Monterey, is how different the weather could be from one bay to the next. One beach would be covered in fog and be all dark and cosy, the next bay only minutes drive away would be blue skies and a crowded foreshore. A beautiful part of the country.

A visit to the aquarium, a statue wearing someone’s glasses, lunch looking over the water and gorgeous converted warehouses. As I took the photo of the sardines label, I thought of you my friend and your similar photo (you were there with me in spirit in that moment).
