As I post these travel photos from last year’s USA/Canada holiday, it’s become apparent to me how much my photography has improved. So, it’s with mixed feelings that I post them… awesome memories, great places but I can see how I would go back and photograph things differently. I know I’m not the only one to feel this way about past photos. Celebrate the journey of improvement and creative expression we must!! (Said in a Yoda voice. He’s so cute.)

Isn’t it fun to see how our photography and writing changes over time? It shows that we are growing.

I feel the same way about my shots from the past, but I think we can both agree that the learning process is all worth it as we make progress.

Agree with John. We should feel happy with the dissatisfaction of our past work. I felt my older work was better than what I was currently doing a while back if you remember my A Welcomed Breeze post. Do continue to post your trip pictures from last year. I enjoy seeing your vacations.

Ahh sorry I’m behind on my commenting! But omg, how great are those cupcakes? I’ve seen that place on another blog, I think.

And photography is so great in that it lets you see improvement over time — I love that!

I can definitely see an improvement in my photography, and it’ll be fun to see what it looks like in a year’s time! I recently re-read an old online journal – oh my, my writing style was quite hilarious back then! Looking back is as fun as looking forward sometimes :)

I love your photos … the different scenes and colours you’ve captured are a delight. I know what you mean about seeing improvements in your photography though, sometimes I cringe when I look back on older photos as I can only see the faults. I’m trying to look on those images with a kinder eye, because they not only capture a moment in time on film, they also capture a moment within our photography journey.
