winter cooking has begun

Two nights ago I made my signature pie for my husband and decided to tell him I love him through a different way! He loves this pie. It also means that winter is nearly here as I only make it in the cooler months when the craving for warm comfort food hits.

The other indicator that winter is nearly here is the start of the State of Origin series. I love to cook for my husband and provide yummy food for him to munch whilst the game is on. For Game 1, he got salmon baked in soy sauce with a salad of sliced pear, pecorino cheese and baby spinach. I love snuggling on the couch to watch sport whether it’s just my husband and I, or a group of dear friends or family scattered across our lounge room. During the second half I baked a simple apple pie. I love spoiling him with delicious homemade meals.
